Jesus Youth USA experienced the joy of the Gospel during its second mission trip to Ecuador, building upon the momentum of the initial visit in January 2025. This mission was made possible through the continued collaboration with the Missionaries of St. Francis de Sales (MSFS), with whom Jesus Youth shares a deep and fruitful partnership in various countries.
During this mission, the Jesus Youth team visited MSFS missions in the Apostolic Vicariate of Esmeraldas and the Archdiocese of Quito. The team was led by Dr. Sindhu Nadarajan (Mission Director, Jesus Youth USA), Joseph Abraham (National Council Member, Jesus Youth USA), along with five other committed JY missionaries.
The team served in communities of Limones, Río Verde, and Atacames within the Vicariate of Esmeraldas. In some areas, they traveled by boat to reach remote communities, engaging in house visits, school outreach, parish ministry, and youth faith formation programs. These vibrant communities warmly received the missionaries, embracing them with joy, hospitality, and love.
Through music, praise, sports, and catechesis, JY missionaries connected meaningfully with local youth and families, bearing witness to the universal language of love in Christ. One blessing of the mission was that Dr. Sindhu Nadarajan was able to meet Bishop Antonio Crameri, S.S.C., of the Apostolic Vicariate of Esmeraldas and share about Jesus Youth.
The missionaries returned with hearts full, blessed by the encounter and inspired by the faith of the people they met in Ecuador. Jesus Youth USA looks forward to building on this mission, with further trips planned for the remainder of 2025.
