Over 500 professionals from across Kerala came together for Profess Messiah 2025, the flagship conference of the Jesus Youth Kerala Professionals Ministry. Held at Rajagiri Campus, Kalamassery, from June 5 evening to June 9 afternoon, the event resounded with its vibrant theme—“Joyfully Proclaiming Christ” (Mark 16:15)—through four days of prayer, learning, community, and Spirit-led mission.
The conference opened with an inspiring inaugural session led by His Excellency Rt. Rev. Mar Peter Kochupurackal, Bishop of Palghat. On Pentecost Sunday, the gathering was deeply blessed by the presence of His Beatitude Most Rev. Mar Raphael Thattil, Major Archbishop of the Syro-Malabar Church and Ecclesiastical Advisor to Jesus Youth International, who exhorted participants to become courageous witnesses of Christ in their professions, filled with the power of the Holy Spirit.
The presence of numerous priests and religious—including Fr. Dr. Titto Varghese CMI, Fr. Shibu Xavier OCD, Fr. Shoji Varghese, Fr. Dipu Thaitharayil C.Ss.R, Fr. Anand Manalil, and Sr. Christi Babu MSMI—added immense spiritual depth to the gathering through their prayerful presence and pastoral accompaniment. The event was also blessed with the presence of many who had once attended previous editions of Profess Messiah, either as participants or volunteers, and have since embraced religious vocations. Their return as priests, nuns, and religious brothers stood as a powerful testament to the movement’s lasting impact on individual lives and the broader Church.
The four-day journey featured a vibrant mix of Holy Mass, adoration, and dynamic sessions on professional identity, mission, and purpose. Sessions were led by eminent national and international speakers including Mr. Shelton Pinheiro, Mr. Santhosh Mathew, Mr. George Devassy, Mrs. Beena Manoj, and Mr. Babu John (SI), who offered profound insights on themes such as finding purpose in work, faith in action, integrity in public life, and navigating current social challenges with Christian values. Their contributions helped participants connect their professional callings with Gospel-centered living.
Participants engaged in discussions on contemporary challenges and took part in profession-wise gatherings for doctors, educators, IT professionals, legal experts, and more—fostering clarity, mutual support, and renewed vision in their respective fields. The program was further enriched by heart-touching theatre performances, which received standing ovations, and a powerful sense of community.
A notable highlight was the active participation of IT professionals from Kerala’s major technology hubs, including Infopark Kochi and Technopark Trivandrum, reflecting the growing impact of the movement in the digital and corporate world.
A key moment of the conference was the anointing of the new Jesus Youth Kerala Professionals Central Team for 2025–2027. Mr. Jithin Mathai was anointed as the new State Coordinator, succeeding Mr. Lijo Varghese, whose committed leadership over the past term helped steer the movement with vision and faith.
As participants returned to their workplaces—be it hospitals, classrooms, courtrooms, studios, startups, or corporate offices—they carried with them a renewed fire: to
Joyfully Proclaim the Messiah
through their lives, work, and witness in today’s professional world
