On April 14th, as part of the Holy Week celebrations, Jesus Youth Kochi hosted Kalvary, a theatre based retreat at the Alpha Pastoral Centre, Kochi. This creative and spiritually enriching initiative marked a significant milestone for Jesus Youth in the region, offering a profound and artistic reflection on the Passion of Christ through the powerful medium of theatre. The retreat drew over 500 participants, including priests and religious sisters, and was deeply appreciated for its innovative and prayerful approach to evangelization. Through Kalvary, the transformative power of theatre was used to stir hearts, deepen faith, and bring the Gospel to life in a moving and memorable way.

Scripted, directed, and performed by the Jesus Youth Theatre Ministry, Kalvary offered a moving encounter with Christ’s Passion, drawing participants into the heart of the Paschal mystery through drama, movement, and prayer. It stood as a powerful testament to Jesus Youth’s commitment to proclaiming the Gospel through creative and artistic expression.
