Leadership Training and Outreach Programs Strengthen Jesus Youth Malta

During January 2026, Jesus Youth Malta organised a series of one-day formation and outreach programmes, aimed at strengthening leadership and reaching new young people within the local Church. The initiatives were supported by Jesus Youth resource persons Fr. Johns George and Fr. Anish Devasia, who travelled from Rome to accompany the community.

The programmes were held over a weekend, with the first two days dedicated to formation and training for the Jesus Youth leadership in Malta. A full-day leadership training programme was conducted on Saturday, focusing on vision, discipleship, and mission. Approximately 35 youth leaders participated, engaging actively in sessions designed to equip them for effective service and pastoral leadership.

On the third day, Sunday, a one-day “Walk with Jesus” programme was conducted as an outreach initiative to welcome and engage new participants. The programme provided an opportunity for personal encounter and spiritual renewal, with around 70 participants taking part.

These initiatives marked a significant moment of growth for Jesus Youth Malta, strengthening its leadership base while expanding its outreach to the wider youth community. The movement invites continued prayers for Jesus Youth Malta and for the lasting spiritual fruit of this grace-filled weekend.
