National Leadership Training and Councils Summit ‘25| Australia
Holy Cross Centre, Templestowe, Victoria | 25–29 September
One hundred Jesus Youth (JY) leaders from across Australia gathered at the Holy Cross Retreat Centre, Templestowe, for the National Leadership Training (NLT) and Summit 2025. The four-day program brought together youth, young adults, and elders in a spirit of prayer, fellowship, and shared mission.
The training focused on deepening personal faith, strengthening leadership skills, and addressing the challenges faced in ministry and daily life. Participants engaged in sessions led by prominent JY resource persons, including Manoj Sunny, Dr. Midhun Paul, and Dony Peter. The gathering was further enriched by the presence of Archbishop Christopher Prowse, Chaplain of JY Australia; Tim Kirk, National Coordinator of CHARIS Australia; and Joe and Julie Chircop, founders of the Servants of Jesus community.
A central theme of the NLT was a call for leaders to rediscover their “first love” for God and return to their regions with renewed zeal for evangelisation. Attendees were also given opportunities for one-on-one prayer and personal conversations with the resource team.
A significant moment in the program was the commissioning of the new National Youth, Teens, and Family Teams by Archbishop Prowse, marking a new chapter in the movement’s ongoing mission in Australia.
Following the NLT, the National and Regional Councils Summit convened, providing council coordinators an opportunity to come together in prayer and to deliberate on the contemporary challenges facing JY Australia.
By the grace of God, the National Leadership Training and Summit concluded as a resounding success, with many leaders strengthened in their faith, vision, and leadership capacities as they continue to serve their communities across the nation.
